Costume ideas

Sid's clothes will be very simplistic because we want to give the illusion of a clean slate. This reflects the fact that the psychiatrist is able to mould and easily effect his sanity. My personal preference is an all grey tracksuit because grey is a monotonous colour which emphasises the idea that he is nothing more than an ordinary boy.

The psychiatrist will wear formal clothing because we do not want to give the storyline away straight away. Therefor, we will avoid genre conventions for an antagonist. The psychiatrist will also have to change clothes between scenes in order to emphasise time passing.

The Good and The Bad are representing the theme of binary opposites in our film, to highlight this we dressed one in black and one in white. The colour black has negative connotations in comparison to the pure connotations of the colour white which helps the audience to identify which character is Sid's positive consciousness and which is his negative.

The dog walker will be clothes in regular clothes of just jeans and a coat. We don't want this character to be overly dwelled on so their costume must not be overly flamboyant.
