Note To My Examiner

Evaluation Question 4
The typical audience for a thriller film is young male adults because they are attracted to the fast paced editing and intense story lines. Psychological thrillers particularly attract males between the ages of 17 and 25 this is because they have only just finished / are currently in education. This means they enjoy the complex narrative of this genre.
We have a number of target audiences due to the many social groups represented in our sequence; our main one being Teenagers between the ages of 15-18 years of age and our less prominent one being persons who are interested in subjects of mental health. This is a basic diagram presenting our target audiences from most important to least.
Our film would be rated 15 because there is a relatively strong threat to the protagonist. Younger viewers may find our narrative disturbing as a result of the motifs showing isolation throughout. According to the BBFC a film is regarded as 15 when:
"There may be strong threat and horror. A sustained focus on sadistic or sexual threat is unlikely to be acceptable."
Our ideal audience member example profile:
Name:Jack
Age: 18
Interests: Rugby, UFC, Gym, Socialising
Favourite Film: Inception
Music Taste: Grime
Level of education: Alevels/Btechs
