Our first idea was "CMC Productions", using the first letter of each of our names. I think this idea sounds catchy but lacks connotational value. We therefore, continued to brainstorm.
Our next idea was "Nail Nibbler". I like this idea because of the alliteration which makes it more catchy. However, the connotations of this name aren't as harsh and make it sound more like a spoof company.
Then, we thought of the idea of "Shade Productions" which was the best so far but I thought it sounded quite stereotypical which stopped it being as effective.
Our groups final decision was "White Knuckle Productions" because the name has connotations to violence and danger and therefore the thriller genre. This gives our audience a hint to the type of films we plan to produce and adds tension to the build up of films. The name is also catchy and easy to remember.
